History

Fanny ARDERN was baptised in 1794 in Mobberley, Cheshire. Her parents were James and Lucy (nee MASSEY) and she had 3 sisters and 3 brothers baptised in Mobberley in the years 1787 to 1802. Fanny married Joseph SKELHORN in Cheadle, Cheshire in 1821. My gg-grandmother, Martha, was born in 1838 in Hale, Cheshire, the youngest of their children. Fanny died in 1871 and was buried at Mobberley. Joseph died in 1872.

James and Lucy were married in 1783 in Bowden. They had 10 children, though Lucy and Lydia may have been the same as I have Lucy's baptism in 1792 and Lydia's burial in 1801. Of the children, I only have descendants of Fanny (see above) and of the eldest son, William. James died in 1807 and Lucy in 1809.

James was baptised in 1762 in Bowden, the son of James and Elizabeth. Through one of my cousins, I have three more generations going back to John (1637-) and Martha (-1656).
