Martha HAWKIN was born in 1826 in Coal Aston, near Dronfield,
Derbyshire. She married Joseph SHARPE
in 1845 in Sheffield. Her parents were Jonathan and Mary (nee
WATSON). Martha died
in 1895 and was buried in Dronfield.
Jonathan was born about 1798 in Brimington or Staveley, Derbyshire.
His father was also Jonathan, according to his second marriage
certificate to Susannah MALLOWS (nee SUTLIFF) in 1860. There is
a Jonathan of the right age to be his father in the 1851 census
living with a Joseph Hawkin, who was born in Brimington.
